16 New Medical Colleges with approximately 2,000 MBBS seats in Andhra Pradesh

Amravati: In an effort to expand Government health care facilities and improve medical education infrastructure, Andhra Pradesh will soon acquire 16 new medical colleges. Prime Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will be laying the foundation stone for 14 new medical facilities today in a visible location from Amravati.
The new medical colleges will be from Paderu, Vizianagaram, Anakapalli, Rajahmundry, Palakollu, Amalapuram, Eluru, Machilipatnam, Bapatla, Markapuram, Piduguralla, Madanapalli, Pulivendula, Penukonda, Adoni and Nandyal. The whole project would cost about Rs 7880 crore.
Of these, Vizianagaram, Anakapalli, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Machilipatnam will have 150 medical seats each, while other colleges will provide 100 seats for those seeking treatment, with the number of state seats up to 2,000. project, poor students will have more opportunities to pursue medical studies as 70 percent of the seats will be available in the call of the callers and 30 percent in the payment allocation.
Work to build medical colleges in Paderu, Piduguralla, Pulivendula has begun and the government is reviewing tenders for all proposed New Indian Express reporting centers.

According to a recent Zee News press report, noting the shortage of health facilities during the epidemic, the government had proposed strengthening the medical infrastructure and, as a result, the proposal was to add five new medical colleges to the existing 11 colleges.
Medical Dialogues previously reported that to bring happiness to those seeking treatment in the state and which aims to improve health care facilities the Andhra Pradesh government back in March offered the opportunity to manage the allocation of Rs 5,800 million for the construction of 12 new medical colleges. Among these, the government has allocated R5 475 crore to build a medical college in Bapatla.

In addition, the State Government has now provided guidelines for the construction of specialized hospitals in international areas including Sethampeta, Parvathipuram, Rampachodavaram, Buttayigudem, and Dornala. For this purpose, 885 hectares of land have been purchased.
These nominated medical colleges and teaching hospitals plan to provide emergency, traumatic, and diagnostic services, with state-of-the-art intensive care units, as well as ten state-of-the-art Modular Operation Theater, adds the Daily.
The New Indian Express added that Transport Minister and I&P Perni Venkataramaiah were looking into preparations for the Philippine event for a foundation stone laying event expected to take place on Monday. Accommodation arrangements were intended to be made in accordance with Covid's terms.
He also announced daily that a medical college in the Philippines would be built on 75 hectares of land and that the project would cost about 550 crores. Following the completion of the project, the college will also provide a teaching hospital with a capacity of 550 beds. Steps have been taken to ensure that the college remains connected to the 60-meter-wide road for better connectivity. In addition, arrangements have been made for train flyover. The college will start operations in the next academic year.
On the other hand, the medical college in Vizianagaram was promised by the Prime Minister himself during the Praja Sankalpa Yatra. Built on 70 acres of land, the new medical college will strengthen local medical infrastructure and local people will not have to rush to Visakhapatnam for emergency medical services.
M Harijawaharlal, a regional collector, informed the newspaper that the people were very happy as their dream had come true and ensured that construction would be completed on time. Vizianagaram MP Kgogatla Verabhadra Swamy also suggested that the new medical college be shown as a blessing for needy students.
Hans India noted that among the 16 new medical colleges, Kurnool district alone will have two new medical colleges - one in Nandyal and one in Arekal village on the national highway between Yemmignur and Adoni.
The proposed college in Nandyal will be built on 50 hectares of land and the one in Adoni will be 55.44 hectares. The project will cost about Rs 475 crores each of those colleges.
Both medical colleges will have a teaching hospital, a medical college, a nursing college, a maternity ward, an outpatient facility, a drug store, a natural plant room, medical plumbing, oxygen storage tanks, a plant that produces oxygen, and open space. - air theater, comes daily.
Arrangements have been made at both the base event venues in accordance with Covid's policies. Co-founder M V K Srinivasulu and Nandyal Sub-Collector Kalpana Kumari visited Nandyal for this purpose. They have issued instructions in this regard to ensure that there is no disruption to the system.
